Sure, you can get soap for a few dollars for bunch of bars at the grocery store, but are you really getting soap? Soap is a cleansing agent made from an alkali acting on natural oils and fats.
Hana Lima Hawaiian Soap is a true ‘soap’, the bars you
buy commercially are usually detergents. Commercial
soap bars likely contain petroleum products, alcohol,
preservatives, and a lot of things you cannot pronounce!
Besides containing harsh ingredients, the naturally
occurring glycerin is usually stripped from the finished
product.
Our pure vegetable soaps are created the traditional way, by hand, using the cold process method. This method retains the glycerin which occurs naturally in the soap making process and helps moisturize your skin. You care about your skin, so we care about what goes into our soaps.
We start with a base of coconut, olive and palm oil. We add macadamia nut and kukui nut oils (an ancient Hawaiian beauty secret) and exotic tropical fragrance oils. The soap is poured into molds, hand cut into bars, and allowed to cure for four weeks before packaging, creating a luxurious face and body soap bar with a rich, creamy, long lasting lather. Our soaps rinse completely clean leaving no residue on your skin, only a wonderful fragrance.
A typical soap bar measures 21⁄2" x 31⁄2" x 3⁄4" and weighs
about 31⁄2 oz.
There is some variation due to their hand
cut nature. The soap is wrapped in waxed tissue to protect
it and preserve its scent. Each bar is hand wrapped in a
colorful, tropical Aloha print fabric and labeled. Fabric wraps vary so choose your favorite!
